I don't know, Quentin. Maybe so you can keep telling yourself it was nothing. That because it worked out in the end, what happened to get us there, the decisions people made, they don't matter.
What happened to YOU to get us here? what decision was made that actually had any effect on you? I mean BESIDES "I said I don't like John Gaius, but somehow he's still around"?

People like him are the reason my father was executed, when all he did was steal medicine to try and save his sick son. That my mother drank herself to death. That me and 99 other kids were used as disposable radiation detectors to test if Earth was survivable. That I've been hanged, tortured, made into a bioweapon. That my friends were treated like lab rats, had their blood and bone marrow harvested, and no one cared about saving them. That I walked through the desert on some bullshit quest, watching everyone around me get blown up by mines or fed to sea monsters, just to get locked in a bunker for three months, alone, so I wouldn't get in the way.
You don't like or dislike people like him. You survive them, or you don't. So forgive me if I don't wait around for the effects anymore. I've been through enough of them already.
